Sometimes in a business it is good to meet fellow industry professionals and be able to share ideas with one another. As a local upstart ourselves we understand the value of having an industry presence and being aware of the environment around yours, so when we were called out to a local networking event this past week to provide our catering we were more than happy to help! The event was geared toward helping emerging companies in the market sector share various strategies and new-line thinking, with even a couple of joint collaborations and partnerships coming out of it. All that certainly sounds like it makes for some hungry guests indeed!
Hog Roast Easingwold were on hand before the event had started, getting together our prep and beginning our slow roasts so that a grand feast would be ready by lunchtime. As guests arrived at the event and given the opportunity to mix the Hog Roast Easingwold team served some light entrees and served tea and coffee around the room to help warm up the room. The hosts to the event then officially welcomed everyone in and begin the day’s first panels.
Following the first half of talks the event took a break to enjoy our hog roast buffet. With so many in attendance we went with a hog and a chicken roast along with a BBQ jackfruit alternative. Joining the roasts was our homemade coleslaw, dauphinoise potatoes, our spareribs, rolls and wraps, fries, a heritage tomato and mozzarella salad, seasonal mixed leaves, and veg and halloumi skewers. It sure sounds like a lot of food, but with plenty more to come from the networking event it certainly went a long way to keeping the day fuelled up! Guests snapped up nearly all that we had, so it certainly was a success by our books!
The day continued on while Hog Roast Easingwold got quickly packed up and out the door without so much as a trace left behind. We’ll leave the business work to the professionals this time!
