‘Tis the season…to be busy! For Hog Roast Thurnscoe, the lead-up to Christmas is a whirlwind of festive joy and culinary excitement – and we are loving every minute of it. As our festive bookings skyrocket, our dedicated catering managers, Chris and Kayleigh, find themselves on a merry adventure, ensuring that every event is a memorable celebration.
One recent highlight for the Hog Roast Thurnscoe team was our appearance at a festive school fete organised by members of the PTA. This annual event is a cherished tradition, eagerly awaited by both children and families. And with profits raised going towards next year’s school supplies, success was vital.
Transforming the school grounds into a winter wonderland, the gym hall became a visual delight with snowy decorations and stalls brimming with handmade trinkets and second-hand treasures.
Outside, in the playground, the scene was equally lively. Older children manned face painting stalls, tuck shops peddled sweets and baked goods, and a myriad of activities, including a bouncy castle and a wet sponge throwing game, awaited the gleeful attendees. Hog Roast Thurnscoe felt privileged to play a role in this family-friendly affair, ensuring that teachers, parents, and children, alike, were well-fed and content.
To cater to a diverse array of palates, Hog Roast Thurnscoe served up our traditional BBQ menu, a feast that has something on offer for everyone. Handmade British beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken kebabs, spareribs, veggie burgers, and grilled veggie skewers with flatbreads and tzatziki dip were accompanied by sides of mixed fries, creamy coleslaw, and pasta salad. The variety of food options delighted attendees and offered them the convenience of enjoying the multitude of activities with ease.
