Recently, we found ourselves helping Alison with a 60th birthday celebration, which we had been told needed a menu to accommodate a total of 45 people. For the Hog Roast Shafton team, who have experience handling events ranging from 10 to 500+ people, this was no trouble at all, and, after taking all of Alison’s ideas and requirements into account, Marcus suggested our newly introduced Alfresco Menu. The client really loved this idea, and with just a few simple tweaks, she had soon discovered a spread that worked for her.

With a long day ahead of them and lots of work to do, the Hog Roast Shafton team started their day early by heading over to the client’s home to get everything set up in preparation for the guests’Hog Roast Shafton arrival. After being shown into the garden, Hog Roast Shafton erected the catering tent and made a start on the spread, which called for one of our striking hog roast centrepieces, a vast collection of side dishes, custom antipasti board for starters and a meat-free option.

By 4:30pm, Marcus and the team had begun serving charcuterie boards to each of the tables, which boasted a selection of Italian deli meats, cheeses, artisan bread and smoked salmon. A handful of hours later, once the guests had reignited their appetites, it was time for the long-awaited feast; a divine slow-roasted pig with pasta salad, roasted new potatoes, coleslaw and gluten-free rolls, served on China crockery, which the guests eagerly devoured.
