Hog Roast Silkstone were very lucky to have recently catered a truly magical wedding. The happy couple invited 200 guests to their wedding reception at a truly magnificent castle venue.
The catering for this event was luxurious. The clients selected a menu that they loved and that would offer their guests plenty to eat. No expense was spared. The Hog Roast Silkstone team adored the extravagant, filling menu the clients created.
As the guests arrived at 4:30pm they were met by Hog Roast Silkstone’s experienced wait staff that had a whole array of canapĂ©s on offer. Guests could nibble on: Dim Sum, pate encroute, chicken satay, halloumi kebabs, smoked salmon on brown bread and an Indian selection.
Once the guests were seated at their tables the wait staff then served the starter. The clients had selected Parma Ham for this course. This luxury meat was served on new potato and walnut salad with a tasty apricot dressing.
The main course was served as a buffet, with the Chef, assistants and wait staff all on hand to help the guests pile their plates with delicious treats. Alongside a Hog Roast complete with crispy cracklings, stuffing and apple sauce, there was also delicious whole roasted salmon on offer. There was bowls of cheery and avocado salad, Greek salad and coleslaw. Also on offer were platters of piping hot seasonal vegetables, jacket wedges and jacket potatoes. There really was something for everyone.
The puddings were then served to the table by the wait staff. The guests had two choices of puddings: fresh fruit salad or individual vanilla cheesecakes. Both options could be served with fresh cream if desired.
Then, while the Chef and assistants quietly tidied away their cooking equipment and serving tables the wait staff served teas, coffees and mints. The team quietly slipped away, leaving the couple and their guests able to continue celebrating their special day.
It was a whole team effort to prepare and serve such a hearty menu for 200 people but the team worked well to give a stellar service. The couple was delighted. The meal had been exactly what they wanted and helped them make their day very special indeed.
