When Isobel and Anthony found out they were going to be parents, it felt like a dream come true. And, now, with their little boy set to arrive in just a month, the excitement is through the roof!
They’ve cherished every moment of this journey so far, from the heartwarming pregnancy announcement to the thrilling gender reveal. And last weekend, they topped it all off with the most spectacular baby shower ever!
Determined to throw a bash for the ages, Isobel and Anthony went all out. They rented a spacious venue and picked a cowboy theme that promised loads of fun for their 50 guests.
Given their chosen theme, Hog Roast Rossington was the natural choice for catering and our catering managers, Chris and Kayleigh, were excited to help out! After some deliberation, the couple decided on our Southern Slow Roast Spread – a feast fit for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages.
On the big day, Hog Roast Rossington rode into town bright and early to set up. Using our state-of-the-art grill, Chris and Kayleigh cooked up a storm, preparing a trio of mouth-watering meats: BBQ pork butt, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, and Texan beef brisket. For the veggie and vegan guests, BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns were added to the menu, ensuring everyone had something tasty to enjoy. As for the sides, we whipped up creamy mac and cheese, fresh green leaf salad, and a mix of sweet potato and regular fries.
Isobel and Anthony’s attention to detail transformed the venue into a Western wonderland. Brown, baby blue, and cow print balloons floated above, while cardboard cactus cutouts and reclaimed wooden tables with cowhide and sheepskin throws created a rustic, cosy feel. A pick-and-mix table, a fabulous baby shower cake, and a wooden wagon wheel doughnut display added a sweet touch. And for extra fun, a photo booth with Western-style props and a live band kept everyone entertained.
Guests embraced the cowboy spirit, donning plaid shirts, cowboy boots, and hats. The room was filled with laughter and joy as everyone mingled, snapped photos, and danced to the live music. And when it came to the food, Hog Roast Rossington’s savoury spread was a runaway hit. The delicious meats and sides had everyone coming back for more – luckily we always make sure there is plenty to go around!
