As Louise and Timothy’s 30th wedding anniversary approached, their children, Charlotte and Rob decided to plan something extra special to honour the landmark occasion. They came up with the idea to organise a surprise party that their parents would never forget and secretly managed to invite over 200 guests to join the festivities without spoiling the element of surprise.
The duo managed to book a function room in a local hotel for the event and sourced plenty of decorations, but with so many mouths to feed, they quickly realised that they couldn’t do everything by themselves – they were in need of help from the experts!
Their desire to find a reliable, trustworthy and quality-focused catering service led Charlotte and Rob to place a booking with Hog Roast Pontefract, and it was our utmost pleasure to help the pair realise their vision. Working closely with our catering managers, Chris and Kayleigh, the clients had no trouble finding the perfect menu for the event.
For this momentous occasion, Hog Roast Pontefract showcased our renowned Classic Hog Roast Menu. The feast featured a succulent slow-roasted hog, skilfully cooked to perfection and accompanied by an array of mouth watering side dishes, including sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, crunchy gluten-free rolls, freshly made chips, salads, coleslaw and flavoursome applesauce.
Chris and Kayleigh also prepared delicious grilled vegetable kebabs with optional halloumi chunks for vegetarian and vegan guests to enjoy. Once prepared, all of the hot food was kept warm in chafing dishes until the couple made their grand entrance.
Needless to say, when Louise and Timothy arrived, they were completely taken aback. But as the evening unfolded, the atmosphere filled with laughter, joy, and heartfelt speeches celebrating the enduring love and commitment of Louise and Tim, were shared. The love-fuelled ambience, combined with the delicious aroma of the hog roast, created a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
Once the speeches died down, Hog Roast Pontefract unveiled the buffet. As the guests of honour, Louise and Timothy were the first to receive plates of goodness, and the rest of the guests quickly followed suit.
