Whether it’s the adorable Beetle, the reliable Polo or the stylish Tiguan, we Brits can’t seem to get enough of our Volkswagen motors! As the UK’s most popular car brand, selling over 160,000 new vehicles each year, the German automobile manufacturer has maintained the top-selling position for four years running.
But the success doesn’t end there. Here in Middlesbrough, the local Lookers Volkswagen branch on Newport Road recently picked up a shiny new award, and to celebrate they decided to lay on a delicious spread for 45 guests.
Catering for this highly-anticipated lunch was Hog Roast Middlesbrough’s top catering duo, Chris and Kayleigh, who brought something a little different to the table than our usual hog roast feast. Yes, there’s more to us than perfectly roasted pigs – a lot more!
For this event, our client had requested an all-time British favourite: fish and chips. Because nothing says comfort food like hand-battered fish, chunky chips glazed with lashings of vinegar and salt and mushy peas on the side. Come on, admit it, your mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Just as we had hoped, Hog Roast Middlesbrough’s take on the classic chippy feast was a hit with the guests. And, with everything served in convenient cardboard boxes with disposable bamboo forks, it meant the guests were free to mingle and soak in the sunshine as they munched happily on our fish goujons and moreish chips.
As well as treating everyone to what was perhaps the best fish and chips of their lives (not that we’re bragging, of course!) Hog Roast Middlesbrough’s banter was on fire and our team lifted everyone’s mood.
