It’s not every day you get asked to cater for over 200 people, but when Donaldson Filtration gave us a ring, we didn’t think twice. July 25th was circled in bold on our calendar, and with a headcount of 210, Hog Roast Hull knew we were in for a busy one – the kind of job that gets us really excited.
Donaldson’s a big name in the filtration sector, with over a hundred years of experience behind them. They know how to solve some seriously complex problems – but thankfully, feeding everyone at once wasn’t left to them this time.
To make sure no one was left waiting too long, Hog Roast Hull split the serving into two sittings. That way, folks could grab their food without missing half their break stuck in a line. It worked a treat.
As for the menu itself? This one will have you drooling!
We were asked to serve our Southern Slow Roast menu, and it landed hard. Brisket that pulled apart with just a nudge of a fork. Pork with a deep BBQ glaze. Moist roast chicken with a gentle Cajun kick. And those sausages? Gone before we could blink. People couldn’t stop talking about them!
Sides were flowing too. We had crunchy fresh salads, creamy potato salad with a hint of pickle, trays of chips, and plenty of bread rolls and wraps. Everyone built their plate the way they liked it; some stuck with the classics, while others got creative and crafted unique sandwich combos.
There wasn’t a dull moment all afternoon. You could hear the chatter and laughter across the site. No gimmicks, no fuss. Just solid, satisfying food done right.
Hog Roast Hull were genuinely grateful for how welcoming the team was. Friendly faces, quick banter, and lots of full plates. That’s a win in our book.
So, cheers to Donaldson Filtration for having us along. It was a pleasure from start to finish, and we’d be happy to fire up the grills again any time you need.
Until then – keep up the great work, and we’ll keep the grill hot.
