Craft fairs are the perfect event for enjoying on a lazy weekend, or when you are hoping to pick up a gift or treat for yourself. A great way to attract a bigger turnout to your event is to provide catering, and Hog Roast Pocklington has plenty of menus that are perfect for the occasion!
Ben is currently finalising the details of the craft fair that he is hosting this September at a local function room in South Yorkshire. He hosts fairs every other month, with makers and artists from across the county gathering to show off their work and make some sales. For the September event, Ben was able to secure a larger venue and wanted to hire a caterer to turn the fair into a well-rounded event. He had previously tried Hog Roast Pocklington’s catering at a corporate event elsewhere and knew that our buffet style would be ideal at this event. For the menu, our catering manager Chris was hired to serve a classic slow-roast, with a delicious meat-free alternative also on offer.
On the day of the fair, the Hog Roast Pocklington team arrived at the venue in the morning to prepare our dishes. Our menu was set to be on offer between 12:00 and 3:00 pm to allow as many customers as possible to enjoy a delicious lunch. We began preparing the menu by slow-roasting the hog to perfection and making sure that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, the meat was carved and served in fresh bread rolls, along with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a great meat-free alternative, a selection of seasonal salad dishes, and homemade chips, to create a varied and balanced buffet lunch.
To book in with Hog Roast Pocklington this September, simply let us know your party size, date, and location and we can dot eh rest. We hope to hear from you soon!
