Recently, we were honoured to help Stephen celebrate a huge milestone – his 50th birthday! To mark the big 5-0, Stephen booked out his local golf club for a full day of laughs, leisure, and (of course) legendary food. After a friendly round on the green, Stephen and his 50 guests made their way to the clubhouse – where they were instantly met with the mouthwatering aroma of a traditional hog roast.
While they had been perfecting their swings, our team was busy slow-roasting a whole pig to golden, crispy perfection. So, when it came time to eat, we served up juicy pulled pork in soft floury buns, complete with crunchy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and a generous spoonful of sweet applesauce. On the side? A fresh and colourful spread of gourmet coleslaw, heritage tomato and mozzarella salad, roasted garlic and rosemary potatoes, and crisp seasonal leaves.
Needless to say, the guests didn’t wait long to tuck in! Plates were loaded, bellies were full, and compliments were flying. To keep the party vibes high, we also laid out vibrant charcuterie boards on every table – a selection of Italian meats, fine cheeses, fruits, and freshly baked bread that had everyone reaching for seconds (and thirds!).
And what’s a birthday party without dessert? Hog Roast Conisbrough ended the feast with a buffet of creamy cheesecake and rich, chocolate-drizzled profiteroles – the perfect sweet finale to an unforgettable day, if we do say so ourselves!
