Milestone moments are always better shared with the people you love. Whether it’s a birthday, a wedding, or a special anniversary, nothing makes an occasion feel truly special quite like celebrating it surrounded by the people who matter most – especially when it brings together faces you don’t get to see all that often.
For Graham and his wife, their anniversary stopped being just a celebration between the two of them a long time ago. Every year, it turns into a proper family affair, with some guests travelling all the way from Sweden just to be part of it. This year was no exception and with 25 guests on the list and expectations running high, the couple reached out to Hog Roast Doncaster to ask if we’d take care of the catering. Naturally, we said yes without a second thought.
Keen to get everything spot on, our team arrived at the couple’s home early to start setting up. Working like a well-oiled machine, we soon had the charcuterie table looking like something straight out of a magazine spread – cold cut meats, Italian cheeses, olives, cherry tomatoes, grapes, kiwi slices, mixed berries, and hummus dips, all sat alongside plenty of artisan breads. Heads were turning the second guests walked in. And while everyone helped themselves to a bit of everything, our caterers turned their attention to the main event, which had been slow-cooking away for hours by that point.
Using premium pork, Hog Roast Doncaster prepared a whole hog roast with all the trimmings, plus grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs for anyone skipping the meat, so nobody felt like an afterthought. Mixed fries, a freshly tossed tomato and mozzarella salad, seasonal leaves, and gourmet coleslaw rounded out the mains, giving every guest the freedom to build their plate exactly how they liked it.
We’re delighted to say the food went down brilliantly – from the presentation right through to the flavours, our caterers absolutely did us proud.
